Ghost in the Shell Graces the Cover of Weekly Women’s Magazine anan

The cyberpunk future is going a bit more mainstream, because issue #2208 of anan – a weekly lifestlye magazine aimed at Japanese women that focuses on fashion, food, and entertainment – features a cover illustration of Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 drawn by series character designer Ilya Kuvshinov.

The issue also features articles offering a behind-the-scenes view of the production by directors Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki and voice actress Atsuko Tanaka (the voice of Motoko in Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045), as well as a fan perspective by musician Takanori Nishikawa (aka T.M.Revolution).

anan is published in Japan by Magazine House Co., Ltd. anan issue #2208 will be released on July 08, 2020. It retails for 650 yen ($6.06 ) plus tax.
